Kent Iverson has over 18 years experience in the manufacturing
and development of biopharmaceutical products. After completing
a Bachelor's degree in Fermentation Science at UC Davis, Kent began
his career in biotechnology with Genentech. Kent worked within the
manufacturing function through Genentech's first 2 product approvals
(Protropin™ and Activase™) and was involved with the commissioning
of Genentech's first large scale mammalian cell culture facility.
Kent then worked with Immunex for 9 years; during his tenure, Immunex
brought 3 biopharmaceutical facilities into operation and had its
first drug approval (Leukine™). Kent also led the operational project
team responsible for production and supply of Enbrel™.
Kent led the manufacturing and process development function at Coulter
Pharmaceutical from 1997 through the acquisition of Coulter Pharmaceutical
by Corixa. Kent led the process and supply chain development for Bexxar,
a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody approved by FDA in 2003 for the
treatment of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After the Coulter-Corixa merger,
Kent continued on with Corixa as the Vice President of process development.
Kent had oversight for process and formulation development, and management
of outsourced production and supply of recombinant proteins, antibodies,
small molecules and conjugates. Since October of 2001, Kent has been
an independent biopharmaceutical manufacturing and development consultant
serving North American and European clients. |
